Session: Lessons from a Latina in Tech - tips on overcoming unconscious bias, impostor syndrome and others
Women are widely unrepresented in the Tech Industry and leadership positions. To provide some perspective, in 2017, there were only 2% of Latinas in the Tech Industry in the United States; for which as Latina, as a woman, as an immigrant and as a project manager, I would love to share the obstacles I have faced throughout my professional trajectory and how I have overcome them. So more women can use the same tools in their journey.
Some items to discuss are:
- Breaking the unconscious bias at work
- Overcoming Impostor syndrome
- Making yourself and others heard.
- Why having a support system is important & how do you get one?
- Ask for help, help others.
