Our current mobility ecosystems are not gender-neutral. They have been shaped through the male lense for centuries, yet slowly awareness is rising that women's travel needs & requirements are very different and require attention. How has society gotten away with neglecting women in this important sector for so long? Why are only around 20% of workers in the transport sector female? How have our mobility ecosystems been shaped the wrong way and what is happening to change this? Are we making the same mistakes again with new technologies, such as autonomous vehicles, micromobility, AI? Bio
Sandra has almost two decades of marketing experience, with a major focus on technology-based, disruptive and fast growing businesses. She has previously worked for start-ups, SMEs, corporates and agencies.
Her passion for the transport and travel sectors is unsurprising, as a German who has lived and worked in Australia, USA, Malta and, currently, England. She is now focused entirely on this area, as CMO and board director for SkedGo, a Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS) tech enabler.
Sandra regularly speaks at major transport-tech events around the world. As part of SkedGo’s partnership with the MaaS Alliance, she is a work stream leader for ‘User-Centric MaaS’. She is also co-founder of the Women in Mobility UK networking group. As someone with lived experience of disability, Sandra is particularly interested in making transport more accessible and inclusive.
