Session: Powering Up and Powering Down: How to think about Leadership Levers for women
While there are many TedTalks and books advising women to "Power Up" or to "Lean In," but did you know that it is also important to "Power Down"? In my talk, "Powering Up and Powering Down: Dial Up and/or Dial Down with These Four Leadership Levers" I will cover the 4 leadership paradoxes/levers that allow female leaders to effectively Power Up as well as Power Down:
Lever 1: Authoritative yet participative
Lever 2: Advocating for themselves yet serving others
Lever 3: Demanding yet caring
Lever 4: Maintaining distance yet being approachable
