Become a Trusted Advisor

As a Engagement Manager, you will focus on maximizing value, retention and growth throughout the customer life-cycle. You'll be the customers technical expert helping build, innovate and evolve customer's media, performance and security strategies. Delivering innovative outcomes for customers through efficient relationships, business acumen, and operational focus.

As an Engagement Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Working as a central point of contact for the customer and cross-functional teams to encourage account growth
  • Being a technical consultant to achieve the customer's long-term vision for high quality media and web experiences
  • Having responsibility for streamlining service delivery, technical program management whilst maximizing Akamai's platform value for the customer.
  • Working closely with the customers Network Architects on performance, health and capacity
  • Working on expansions, updates, hardware refresh in customers supported regions (predominately in Europe)
  • Making recommendations for customers to expand the use of Akamai services and solutions
  • Ensuring delivery and improvements of industry leading technical consultancy and account management to create unparalleled customer loyalty

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have a Bachelors in Computing, Science, Engineering or equivalent and or relevant experience
  • Have experience working in account management, customer success, or consulting services in a technical environment
  • Have experience working with and implementing large networks and technologies such as BGP, TLS, DNS and hardware
  • Have significant experience and know-how in carrier level networking technology and associated systems. (UNIX/Linux, TCP/IP, UDP, RADIUS, DHCP, SAML, LDAP, AD).
  • Demonstrate experience of delivering large technical customer projects successfully with a focus on customer retention and growth
  • Be knowledgeable on such technologies as HTTPS, DNS, DevOps, Web Development, Web Performance, and Information Security Technologies
  • Have the ability to articulate and present technical information in a clear and easy to understand manner
