Oracle NetSuite Senior Business Analyst (SME)

Software Integrity Group (SIG) is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join our Business Applications team to support business needs as it pertains to SIG’s finance and ERP (NetSuite) systems.  This role will be responsible for becoming a critical subject matter expert (SME), will initiate and deliver on large complex projects, and will prioritize instilling trust and reliability with our key business partners.  The Business Applications team is a high-performing, global team that is responsible for making business processes more efficient through automation, reduction of manual, low value work thus allowing the company to operation efficiently, make better choices and ultimately be more profitable. 

The ideal candidate will have a strong background and hands-on experience in areas of procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, and custom solution design experience with a solid problem-solving mindset.  This individual must have excellent interpersonal communications, diligent time management skills, is team-oriented, and has a strong work ethic. NetSuite and professional certifications are a highly recommended. This role will collaborate with developers, engineers, and other system analysts within SIG on strategic projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate effectively with key individual contributors and leaders across Finance, IT, Sales, Operations, FPA, and other functions to solve key business challenges through development of best practice solutions.
  • Lead complex business and systems analysis work to provide forward-thinking, long-term technical solutions.
  • Understands business processes and solutions agnostic of specific systems and can document and articulate outcomes to both Business Applications team members and business users as needed.
  • Exemplify agile principles, encourage best practices, and assist team to continue to develop and mature in agile methodologies.
  • Participate in cross-functional requirement sessions to identify, document, and define business requirements.  Additionally, the role will need to be able to identify areas of need and challenge conflicting requirements to drive meaningful change (as needed).
  • Execute design and system configuration within NetSuite, and other key financial systems.
  • Prepare and review documentation for current processes, pain points, and assumptions for finance systems.  During this ongoing effort this role is continuously identifying opportunities that will streamline workflows and processes.
  • Draw from your experience to recommend changes in development, maintenance, and system standards that improves the team and our users' experience while delivering long-term scalability.
  • Assist in the ongoing administration and support of NetSuite and other finance systems as part of a team effort.  For example, creation or modification of user roles and permissions, item/sku configuration, custom fields, reporting dashboards, etc.
  • Take part in system upgrade activities.

Key requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business or related area.
  • IT Business Analyst background.
  • 4+ years of relevant experience with the NetSuite platform.
  • Experience in multi-system application integration (ie Salesforce, Anaplan, ADP, HRIS, etc.).
  • Understanding of key financial business processes (Procure to Pay, Order Mgmt, Record-to-report (RTR), multicurrency, intercompany, etc.)
  • Experience with iterative or Agile project and sprint methodologies and tools.
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle.
  • Experience implementing NetSuite
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Has the drive and initiative to handle multiple deadlines continuously implementing changes
  • Capable of working in a fast paced, dynamic, team-oriented environment.
  • Experience using SQL based relational databases

Ideal candidate also has:

  • NetSuite ERP certifications and/or CPA
  • Experience working with systems that handle sensitive data and with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls and change management processes.
  • Experience working with multiple implementations or enhancements within NetSuite
  • Experience with RESTful and SOAP web services along with standard API integration tools (e.g. MuleSoft, Boomi).


The base salary range across the U.S. for this role is between $94,000-$142,000. In addition, this role may be eligible for an annual bonus, equity, and other discretionary bonuses.
