Within the Infrastructure, the Relativity One Structured Data PaaS (Platform-as-a-Service) teams own, develop and support the essential structured data platform for Relativity’s flagship product. DB Solutions team provides engineering expertise to support SQL solutions and automation across Relativity with a focus on SQL PaaS in an agile way.
We are looking for an Advanced T-SQL Engineer with a good knowledge of T-SQL and Powershell. Having a passion for building SQL Automation and Cloud Infrastructure, the right candidate will ideally have past hands-on experience with a public cloud environment such as AWS or MS Azure and experience working with Microsoft SQL Server. This position is a part of our Infrastructure team.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to a Scrum team that builds and maintains large-scale SQL Server DB Solutions in a public cloud environment
  • Produce high quality code with use of good software engineering practices 
  • Troubleshoot issues by fixing defects and responding to client specific problems 
  • After gathering relevant experience, you will periodically handle on-call support
  • Create, implement, and maintain SQL DB Health Checks, and have a demonstrated ability to automate SQL health reporting/event notification, and corrective actions.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Advanced knowledge of T-SQL (MSSQL) programming including writing complex queries, stored procedures, functions etc.
  • Moderate/Advance knowledge of Powershell used for automation and scripting
  • Knowledge of a public cloud environment (preferably Azure) - moderate level
  • Moderate/Advance knowledge and practical experience of SQL Server database engine
  • Fluent communication skills in English

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiar with Dev/Ops concepts, and ideally experience working with a Dev/Ops team focused on implementing and enhancing continuous delivery capabilities.
  • Experience automating SQL Server deployment and configuration through PowerShell, Chef, Puppet, etc.
  • Other languages like Ruby, Python, C# - nice to have

Compensation:

  • Compensation Relativity is committed to competitive, fair and equitable compensation practices
  • This position is eligible for total compensation which includes a competitive base salary, annual performance bonus target of 10%, and long-term incentives. The expected salary range for this role is between 146 000 and 218 000 gross/year (Employment Contract). The final offered salary will be based on several factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s depth of experience, skill set, qualifications, and internal pay equity. Hiring at the top end of the range would not be typical, to allow for future meaningful salary growth in this position.
