The Global Majors Sales team manages the overall relationship for Tier 1 banks as well as Buy-side Asset Managers, Custody and Security Services firms. This market segment not only represents the largest product penetration within the Enterprise Data Solutions division but also exhibits fast-paced high growth potential that rivals emerging market clients. The impetus behind our tremendous growth trend is the overwhelming demand for high quality content and the next generation of technology deployment. With the proliferation of trends such as Data Science, Cloud Computing, and Sustainability within the financial services industry, this is an exciting opportunity to be part of an established yet dynamic and growing part of our organization!
 
You will support strategic sales engagements and overall account management while also owning proactive sales engagements and retention of our reference, regulatory, and real-time market data, pricing evaluation, and technology suite of offerings. This includes, but is not limited to, our security master datasets, company level content, ESG and sustainable investing datasets, evaluated pricing, real-time market data, historical data and analytics. You will also be involved with selling technology solutions that enable Bloomberg content and services to be delivered to clients' on-premise applications, and/or cloud warehouse tenants. 

To be successful, you will have a proven track record of institutional selling, experience with respect to managing senior relationships at major financial conglomerates, collaboration with multiple internal departments, proficiency in data and technology within the IB, IM and Asset Servicing workflow, and staying on top of evolving market trends. In addition, we are looking for someone who excels in a team environment and will be able to perform at the highest level under tight timelines, and achieve sales targets.
 
We'll trust you to:
  • Contribute towards setting and executing on sales strategies to help drive annual sales and revenue targets for a set of Tier 1 firms
  • Work efficiently in a collaborative selling environment while maximizing the resources available to achieve success
  • Develop and align sales strategies with other internal sales and account management groups
  • Proactively identify new pipeline opportunities and accurately maintain sales forecasts 
  • Work in partnership with a Relationship Manager to assist on strategic sales opportunities
  • Leverage your knowledge and skill-set to build and maintain credibility with clients, identify gaps, recommend solutions, and deliver on revenue-generating and adoption/usage goals
  • Use market, product, and technical expertise to identify client needs
  • Engage with clients to clearly understand their needs and current workflows and pair those with the right offerings and commercials
  • Support Relationship Managers in establishing and executing a pipeline strategy for achieving sales targets through the appropriate stages of the sales cycle within your assigned client base
  • Build relationships across client organizations to ensure that all stakeholders are managed appropriately as part of the sales process
  • Build strategic relationships that range from the CxO to data and technology groups
  • Drive individual product-level sales campaigns across your client base
  • Manage day-to-day client queries around their current data consumption and technology challenges


You'll need to have:

  • Product knowledge of Bloomberg's comprehensive data offerings
  • Experience in enterprise solutions selling in or to the financial markets
  • An ability to leverage product and domain knowledge to build and maintain credibility with clients, identify gaps and recommend solutions
  • A passion for technology
  • Strong track record in consultative selling
  • Ability to accurately manage pipeline from initial lead to close
  • The desire to continually learn and add new technical and selling skills
  • High motivation and be target/quota driven
  • Strong communication and presentation skills in English
