Bio

Sudha Sundaresan is Head of Platform Engineering at Equinix and is responsible for delivering scalable, performant platform services that help Equinix accelerate its growth across its traditional and new product offerings. Prior to joining Equinix, Sudha was responsible for Amazon Alexa data services, leading teams that delivered the data used to train Alexa's speech recognition models. Sudha was VP of Cloud Engineering at Ayla Networks until 2017, where she built and scaled an IoT cloud to enable manufacturers to bring connected devices to market. Sudha also had a 13-year stint at Cisco where she worked on products targeted at enterprises, service providers and small businesses.She holds 5 issued patents in the areas of IoT and software engineering. Sudha earned a master’s degree in Computer Engineering from San Jose State University and a bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from the Government College of Engineering, Salem, India.
