Session: Tricks and Tips for Thriving in a Changing Environment
Have you ever thought that the professional world around changes but you are not sure how you are fitting into it? If so, you are not alone. Regardless of the position, experience, education, salary, everyone feels like this from time to time, especially when unexpected changes are happening.
During this presentation, I will present some helpful tricks and tips on working in a changing environment, especially in a professional setting. Understanding how to navigate the changing environment, understanding the changes, finding opportunities for yourself, or just simply knowing when to stay put and watch the situation evolve, are very important in surviving these unknown times and landing in a better position than before. Many employees tend to respond with a panic and make rushed and uninformed decision during a time of change vs. being able to objectively analyze the situation and plan for potential scenarios.
At the end of the session, attendees will have a better ideas on how to recognize change, plan for the potential scenarios, and analyze their opportunities to ensure their professional goals are met.
Bio
Ewa J. Kleczyk, PhD is a Senior Vice President of Commercial Analytics & Data Curation at Target RWE that provides best-in healthcare industry real-world data (RWD) solutions utilized throughout the drug development and commercialization spectrum. Previously, she was a Vice President of Advanced and Custom Analytics at Symphony Health, ICON, plc, leading commercial analytics applications, privacy compliance, and data operations.
With nearly 20 years of experience, Dr. Kleczyk has been healthcare industry’s analytics and operations leader with a proven record for establishing high performing teams and delivering innovative analytics solutions. Her experience spans across real-world evidence, data science, health economics, outcomes research, brand & managed market analytics, digital & media analytics, as well as forecasting & promotional impact measurement.
Dr. Kleczyk is also a highly sought-after conference speaker with experience speaking at leading industry conferences, including presentations at Pharmaceutical Marketing Sciences Association, Advena – a Keynote Speaker, Southern Economic Association, Intellus, DTC Perspectives, CDM Media, Pharmaceutics & Novel Drug Delivery Systems, and Conference for Business and Economics at the Harvard University, etc. She also has published in multiple academic & industry journals, contributed chapters to several academic books – most recently on Endometriosis - as well as has been a board member of several peer-reviewed publications.
Dr. Kleczyk has been an active advocate of mentoring future women leaders of the healthcare industry for which she has been recognized with multiple leadership awards, including HBA’s ‘Rising Star’ & ‘Luminary’ recognitions. In June 2022, she was a finalist for the Women in IT Awards, in the Contribution of the Year category.
Along with her husband, James Strout, she is also a Board Member on the Community Cancer Council for the Northern Light Health Network in Bangor, ME. that provides advocacy for cancer patients, and a graduate faculty in the School of Economics at the University of Maine, Orono, ME. Dr. Kleczyk and Mr. Strout also have established an academic scholarship for graduate students in the School of Economics to support higher education and future leaders of Maine and nation in the economic development area.
Dr. Kleczyk earned her Doctorate Degree in Agricultural & Applied Economics from Virginia Tech, Blacksburg, VA, as well as MS in Resource Economics and Policy and BA in Economics with Minor in Mathematics from the University of Maine, Orono, Maine. She is originally from Wroclaw, Poland.
