About the Role:
Join Springer Nature, a global leader in research, educational, and professional publishing.  As a Cyber Risk Quantification Specialist, you'll play a key role in assessing and quantifying cyber risks, combining technical expertise with quantitative risk frameworks to protect our IT infrastructure and digital assets. You will work globally in an inclusive environment and work directly with CISO leaders. This mid-level role requires cybersecurity knowledge, risk management experience, and the ability to communicate complex risks to non-technical stakeholders.
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cyber Risk Quantification: Apply and refine frameworks (e.g., FAIR, NIST, MITRE) to assess cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Vulnerability Management: Oversee assessments, prioritize remediation, and collaborate with technical teams.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze risk data, communicate findings, and prepare reports for senior management.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Work with IT, cybersecurity, and business teams to align risk quantification with strategic priorities.
  • Policy & Compliance Support: Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards and assist with policy development.
     

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Cybersecurity Expertise: Experience with vulnerability management tools (e.g., Tenable, Qualys, Rapid7) and security assessments.
  • Quantitative Risk Analysis: Sound familiarity with frameworks like FAIR and data-driven risk assessment.
  • Communication & Business Acumen: Ability to translate complex risks into business language and present to stakeholders.
  • Project Management: Strong project management skills and a proven delivery mindset in planning and executing projects.
  • Educational Background: Bachelor, Master or equivalent training and experience in Cybersecurity, IT, Risk Management, or related field. Relevant certifications (CISSP, CISM) are a plus.
  • Experience: 3-5 years in cybersecurity risk assessment or vulnerability management.
