Despite decades of campaigns against gender discrimination, the fundamental structures of inequality still persist. Our strategies often address the symptoms rather than the root causes of gender discrimination. A deeper understanding of socio-cultural and historical factors that perpetuate inequality is crucial. We must question if our current measures truly challenge the underlying power dynamics or simply skim the surface.
