Session: Strengthening a Culture of Belonging for Women in the Workplace
Gender equality continues to be one of the biggest challenges for business leaders, with much research showing that women tend not to feel the same sense of belonging as their male counterparts - by bringing their whole selves to work. A recent survey in the 2021 Culture Report on belonging at work reinforced this, revealing that 9% gap on the overall belonging score between males and females.
This same survey revealed a consistency on all factors, from work-life balance to pay equity, or even sharing an opinion that differs from the group, women tend to feel more impacted and less comfortable in respect to these belonging factors.
This talk will explore key drivers for belonging, and how we can support women in the workplace to feel a greater sense of belonging, helping them to be their best selves at work.
