Session: Guiding the Guide: Influence in Crisis Mode
This session explores the essential skills needed to effectively influence leadership during recognized crisis situations. The talk covers four main areas: understanding roles, people-centric influence, technology expertise, and process navigation. It begins by exploring the different roles in crisis management and emphasizes which roles can best influence decisions and in what capacity. Attendees will learn the importance of understanding what motivates the stakeholders—whether it’s revenue protection or incident containment—and how aligning with these priorities enhances influence. The session explores that on top of technical preparedness, it’s important to build trust and credibility long before a crisis hits.
Finally, it examines how process limitations can be navigated under pressure by focusing on realistic decisions that respect constraints and timelines. This talk provides actionable insights for professionals looking to guide leaders through crises with confidence and clarity.
