Speakers:
Alma Angotti is a Partner in Guidehouse’s Financial Services Segment, and Global Legislative and Regulatory Risk Lead. Alma is a recognized expert in compliance and investigations with an emphasis on anti-money laundering (AML), combatting the financing of terrorism (CFT) and economic sanctions compliance. Alma has over 10 years of consulting experience and has counselled her clients in a variety of projects, managed gap analyses, compliance program reviews, risk assessments, remediation efforts, investigations, and historical transaction reviews. Her clients include large, complex, global financial institutions, global payments institutions, mid-sized banks, broker-dealers, and Fintech and digital assets companies, hedge funds, casinos, and multinational corporations. She leads the firms cryptocurrency, digital assets and fintech projects.
Elena Hughes is the Chief Compliance Officer at Gemini, a global cryptocurrency exchange. Prior to Gemini, Ms. Hughes held a variety of compliance roles at Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, and Bear Stearns. Ms. Hughes is a graduate of Pace University and Rutgers University School of Law - Newark.
Eva Lawrence is the COO of Nasdaq First North company, Arcane Crypto. Arcane build and invest in companies to enable the adoption of digital assets worldwide. Eva has a diverse career across law, trading, business development and strategy. With 8+ years in finance, primarily at Morgan Stanley, where she was Head of EMEA Flow Trading for Securities Lending after working in FX Prime Brokerage. In addition, Eva is a UK qualified lawyer, specialising in contract law, digital assets, funds and financial services.
Lana Schwartzman has more than 17 years of experience specializing in compliance, crypto currency regulations and AML. Specifically, in BSA/AML/OFAC program development, MSB/MTL licensure process, internal audits, independent compliance program reviews, and consent order validation for various cryptocurrency exchange companies, financial institutions, and foreign banking organizations. Prior to joining Dapper Labs, she spent close to 3 years as a Chief Compliance Officer at a regulated P2P marketplace and before that she spent 7 years at Grant Thornton LLP in the Regulatory Risk Group specializing in BSA/AML and OFAC regulations. Lana spent her early years at Morgan Stanley and Deutsche Bank in various compliance roles.
