In this role you will design, build, and deliver customer demos that showcase HP's use of our own solutions and provide thought leadership in end user computing.
Responsibilities
• Owns the technical build of our customer demonstration environment.
• Participates in the co-development of new solutions aimed at improving IT and end user experiences.
• Helps develop comprehensive eco-systems and architecture that make these solutions repeatable and scalable outside of the company.
• Identifies and evaluate new technologies, innovations, and outsourced development partner relationships for alignment with technology roadmap and business value; creates plans for integration and update into architecture
• Reviews and evaluates designs and project activities for compliance with development guidelines and standards; provides tangible feedback to improve product quality and mitigate failure risk.
• Leverages recognized domain expertise, business acumen, and experience to influence decisions of executive business leadership, outsourced development partners, and customers.
• Provides guidance and mentoring to less- experienced staff members to set an example of software applications design and development innovation and excellence.
Creates and drives technical innovation strategy and solutions across product teams and business units.
Knowledge & Skills
• Expertise of complex software systems, including enterprise, middleware, firmware, and embedded systems.
• Strong experience in software development, systems engineering, software product management, or electrical engineering.
• Expert business acumen and knowledge especially in IT systems and services.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in overall architecture of software applications for products and solutions.
• Designing and integrating software applications running on multiple platform types into overall architecture.
• History of innovation with multiple patents or deployed solutions in the field of software design.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills; mastery in English and local language.
• Ability to effectively communicate product architectures, design proposals and negotiate options at business unit and executive levels.
Scope & Impact
• Partners with sales, customer success, and support teams to define business requirements, product design, deployment and adoption plans.
• Acts as a subject matter expert and advise various internal, partner, and customer teams on the needs and requirements of target markets.
• Provides guidance for junior team members.
• Oversees the overall quality of work of the product management team.
• Decisions with regard to products may have organizational impacts of up to a year.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
- 10+ years of product owner experience.
- Proven track record working at executive level with internal stakeholders.
- Extensive customer facing experience.
