The Role

As a System Administrator at Kyndryl, you’ll solve complex problems and identify potential future issues across the spectrum of platforms and services. You’ll be at the forefront of new technology and modernization, working with some of our biggest clients – which means some of the biggest in the world.

There’s never a typical day as a System Administrator at Kyndryl, because no two projects are alike. You’ll be managing systems data for clients and providing day-to-day solutions and security compliance. You’ll oversee a queue of assignments and work directly with technicians, prioritizing tickets to deliver the best solutions to our clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Continuously monitor Microsoft Defender Security Centre for alerts, threats, and anomalies across devices.

  • Assess and prioritize security alerts based on severity and business impact.

  • Incident Response a. Investigate and respond to security incidents related to malware, ransomware, phishing, and other endpoint threats.

  • Perform root cause analysis and implement remediation measures for detected threats. c. Collaborate with the incident response team to handle complex or high-severity incidents.

  • Proactive Threat Hunting a. Leverage threat analytics and endpoint data to proactively identify potential vulnerabilities or risks.

  • Utilize advanced threat hunting capabilities within Microsoft Defender for Endpoint to detect suspicious activity. Endpoint Security Maintenance

  • Maintain and fine-tune endpoint security policies and application control settings.

  • Regularly review and update exclusions, rules, and configurations to optimize performance without compromising security.

  • System Updates and Patch Management a. Ensure Microsoft Defender components and endpoint devices are up-to-date with the latest security updates and patches.

  • Collaborate with IT operations teams to schedule and deploy patches with minimal impact on business operations.

  • Endpoint Protection Optimization a. Regularly review endpoint configurations to balance performance and protection.

  • Manage device-based encryption (e.g., BitLocker) to ensure data security. Compliance and Reporting

  • Compliance Assurance a. Ensure endpoint security policies align with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.

  • Conduct regular reviews and audits to verify endpoint compliance with standards such as ISO 27001, GDPR, or internal security guidelines.

  • Maintain documentation for endpoint security policies, configurations, and processes to ensure consistency and compliance.

  • Provide support to end-users for security-related issues, such as device encryption failures, blocked applications, or false positives

  • Coordinate with IT support teams to resolve escalated endpoint security issues efficiently.

  • Conduct regular user awareness training sessions on endpoint security best practices, such as avoiding phishing attacks and handling suspicious emails or links. Continuous Improvement

  • Stay informed on the latest cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and updates within the Microsoft Defender suite.

  • Recommend and implement improvements to the endpoint security strategy based on evolving threats.

  • Collaborate with other security, IT, and business teams to integrate endpoint security with overall organizational security strategies.

  • Evaluate and propose enhancements to endpoint protection using feedback and insights from BAU operations. Tools and Technology Management

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • years of experience in endpoint security, with expertise in Microsoft Defender for Endpoint and related tools.

  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune) for endpoint policy management.

  • Familiarity with endpoint-specific compliance requirements in the airport or aviation industry.

  • Proven experience in managing endpoint security for an organization of similar scale (1,000+ users)

  • Familiarity with Windows and macOS environments for endpoint security purposes.

  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to work under pressure to resolve issues.

  • Good communication and documentation skills

  • . Experience with data compliance and governance policies.

  • Certifications in Microsoft Defender suite or related technologies will be an advantage.

  • Knowledge of Windows registry including knowledge of modifying system registry to support

  • Strong in Communication skills, with both verbal and written in English.

  • Should have good knowledge on ITIL Process.

  • Should have no constraints to work in shifts
