Akamai Technologies, Inc. is hiring for the following role in Cambridge, MA (multiple openings):

Engagement Manager II

Maximize customer value in Akamai services with program management, strategic thinking, and technical acumen. Manage customer technical initiatives from concept to implementation, creatively solving problems and deliver exceptional service. Own program management and act as trusted advisor role to ensure that customers get the most value out of Akamai solutions. Act as a subject matter expert and serve as a technical advisor to architect and technically manage Akamai web performance and security solutions for customers. Define an account strategy, establish key relationships, and build and maintain a project pipeline. Lead a cross functional team and develop a culture of excellence to empower and encourage team synergy. Partner with sales and presales to make recommendations for customers to help expand the use of Akamai services and solutions. 20% domestic travel required. Telecommuting permitted from anywhere in the United States.[AG0995]

Required Qualification:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Business Administration, Telecommunications, or Telecommunications Engineering, and five (5) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or closely related technical role.

Alternatively, will accept a Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Business Administration, Telecommunications, or Telecommunications Engineering, plus two (2) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or closely related technical role.

Must Have: Two (2) years of experience in the following: data analytic tools such as R, Python, and DataStudio; synthetic monitoring; devOPs using tools like terraform, jenkins, and github; search engine optimization; gap analysis; and managing customer initiatives, escalations, incidents, and events.

Compensation:

Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary for this position ranges from $128627-$170043/year; a candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
