The Systems Analyst (SA) will provide software development research, analysis, and technical services to support applications as part of the TIS LP Business Engagement group. The Systems Analyst plans, proposes, and delivers detailed technical solutions and specifications, advocates software or hardware components, and contributes to all phases of the software development lifecycle. #joinourteam

What you will do:

  • Working with the teams to build, estimate, and complete Agile stories.

  • Analyze software problems, data issues and workflows and recommend solutions. The SA is familiar with multiple approaches to problem solving and will choose the most appropriate one.

  • Coordinate with BAs, and other internal IT groups where required to resolve technical issues.

  • Be an active team member, contributing to building and enhancing processes.

  • Leverage experience to identify opportunities to improve business effectiveness through technology.

Who you are:

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science or related discipline

  • At least 2 years of direct experience as a Systems Analyst involved in software development in an IT organization.

  • Experience with database platforms including Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB is an asset.

  • Experience with Java, JavaScript development platforms.

  • Experience with HTML / CSS.

  • Experience working with an Agile team / Agile methodology.

  • Experience with development frameworks including Spring Boot and React is an asset.

  • Experience with automated testing frameworks such as Cypress / Selenium is an asset.

  • Experience with infrastructure components including Docker, REST, Graphql is an asset.

  • Experience with GitHub & Azure DevOps is an asset.
