Position Overview:

The Coca-Cola Company is looking for a Director of Strategy, Governance & Communications to ensure effective ways of working across the Digital Services teams serving our Europe Operating Unit and EMEA Regional Delivery Centre. The role sits within the Europe Digital Services organization, whose primary mission is to scale global IT platforms and services to deliver business value and quality client experiences across the Europe, Africa and Eurasia Middle East Operating Units. This role is critical to linking the Regional Product Development & Support Team to the Operating Unit Product Owners & Analysts to ensure committed work is delivered and will also be part of the global governance community.

What You’ll Do for Us:

Reporting directly into the VP, Europe Digital Services, you will be responsible for the sustained quality of overall delivery performance, from portfolio and risk management through to competency and capability building and proposing and leading interventions and initiatives to continuously improve performance, delivery success, client satisfaction and team engagement. 

This role is targeted to ensure capacity is allocated in line with strategic business and IT priorities to enable efficient, effective and quality delivery that enables the organization to scale global products faster and better.  This leader will partner with their peers to curate and drive an environment of high-energy employee engagement and performance. In pursuit of these outcomes, the incumbent will perform data collection, analysis & reporting, problem, and solutions identification, communications, team building and change management exercises.

The ideal candidate should have a track record of successful IT leadership, ideally with experience of leading agile DevOps delivery in at least two of the following product domains: BI Analytics, MarTech, e-Commerce and Customer/Commercial Solutions.  This role will require excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to push through ambiguity to align diverse stakeholder groups towards aligned goals.
 

The Director, Strategy, Governance & Communications’ will be charged with balancing a mix of strategic, operational, organizational and planning responsibilities including:

Governance – Strategic Planning, Portfolio & Performance Management:

  • Establish operating routines to ensure the organization is running effectively and efficiently to meet agreed objectives.

  • Ensure Agile DevOps tools methodologies are deployed and used consistently

  • Partner with product delivery leads to ensure sustained quality, high performance, portfolio delivery through team engagement, people development and capability building

  • Ensure robust business cases for opportunities requiring financial investment and work with stakeholder leadership to address as part of planning & prioritization routines

  • Collaborate with digital services leads to ensure capacity is allocated in line with the Operating Unit Annual Plan priorities and that the value created for the business is optimized for the total enterprise

  • Execute Portfolio Planning & Tracking including Executive Summary Creation, Quarterly Reviews, Roadmap creation, Dependency and Risk Management and Financial Management

  • Manage health of the overall regional portfolio of project and products through reporting & analytics and value delivery articulation.

  • Partner with Procurement on Vendor contracts and management as needed

Communication:

  • Develop and deliver transparent stewardship routines to ensure progress is visible to all stakeholders, problems are quickly resolved, and work does not occur in silos.

  • Lead development of materials to support consistent stewardship of the business plan to the operating units’ senior leaders and global functional leads

  • Coordinate, plan, and deliver continuous improvement, transformation and change management activities and associated communication.

  • Establish and maintain relationships with stakeholders to facilitate assessment and remediation activities, change management and communications.

  • Promote the culture of enterprise mindset and leadership behaviors throughout the organization and into key processes and technologies.

Strategic Initiatives:

  • Manage the execution and delivery of assigned portfolio of strategic initiatives

  • Collaborate with Global Digital Services Lead, business teams, digital product teams, and IT delivery teams to develop the overall strategy and business plan to facilitate digital services that deliver business value and quality client experiences for the Operating Unit. This includes establishing metrics to track & steward progress and delivery

  • Orchestrate team competency journeys, to build capabilities needed for a 5-10 years horizon

  • Monitor and maintain employee satisfaction to drive high engagement and healthy retention

Qualifications & Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent required

  • 10+ of IT leadership / management experience

  • Program management, risk management and business analysis

  • Data, Digital or IT Product Management and Agile/ DevOps

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

  • Proven track record in piloting and scaling IT innovation

  • Strategic thinking

  • Proven analytical skills – can process information quickly to drive decisions in a timely manner

  • Functional experience in Marketing and/ or Commercial business domains

  • Stakeholder Management experience to senior executive levels

  • Comfort in holding team members accountable for achieving their goals

  • Leads by example, creates a sense of urgency, energy and ownership

  • Strong sense of self- awareness, can relate well, learn quickly and adapt to changes in fast paced environment while remaining calm under pressure

  • Experience working in multinational companies with global, cross-functional teams
